Stainless Steel Ball Valve Manufacturing

A stainless steel ball valve is a type of quarter-turn valve that uses a hollow, perforated, and pivoting ball to control the flow of fluids through it. The valve is open when the ball’s hole is in line with the flow and closed when it is pivoted 90-degrees by the valve handle. The valve handle lies flat in alignment with the flow when open, and is perpendicular to it when closed. Stainless steel ball valves are made of high-grade stainless steel, such as T316 (CF8M), which is known for its corrosion resistance and durability.

A 3-piece ball valve is a type of ball valve that consists of three main components: a ball that sits in the center of the valve, a stem which holds the ball in place, and a body that connects to the pipe on either side with end caps. Here is how a 3-piece ball valve works:
1.The ball inside the valve has a hole through the center that allows fluid to flow through when the valve is open.
2.When the valve is closed, the ball is rotated 90 degrees so that the hole is perpendicular to the flow, blocking the flow of fluid.
The stem is connected to the ball and is used to rotate the ball to open or close the valve.
3.The body of the valve is made up of three separate pieces, which can be easily disassembled for maintenance and cleaning without affecting the entire valve or the need to remove all the pipe connectors.
The end caps are welded, flanged, or threaded ends that connect to the pipe on either side.
4.The 3-piece design allows for easy maintenance and repair, as well as flexibility in installation and connection to the piping system

Stainless steel ball valves are primarily made of stainless steel, specifically stainless steel 316 (CF8M). The valve body or housing, which contains all internal components, is made of stainless steel to protect and calibrate the internal components for proper operation. Seats and seals are typically made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a chemical- and corrosion-resistant material that can withstand extreme temperatures. Non-wetted portions of the valve that do not come into contact with the conveyed material are typically made of stainless steel 304.
